Job Summary

🔍 As a Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) at Boxabl, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and upholding our commitment to quality. You will actively contribute to the development and implementation of our Quality Management System (QMS). Your primary responsibilities will include meticulously inspecting purchased and fabricated items to ensure they meet our stringent engineering standards, all while diligently documenting these activities. In addition, you'll take an active role in refining the processes and forms used within our QMS. Precision, keen analytical skills, and a commitment to efficient inspection processes will define your role as a QAE. You'll also be expected to promptly report and address any issues or discrepancies. Your ability to work independently and provide valuable suggestions for process enhancements will be crucial to your success in this role. 🚀

Job Duties and Responsibilities 📝

• Thoroughly inspect incoming items for compliance with engineering documentation. 
• Scrutinize fabricated items to ensure they align with engineering standards. 
• Meticulously document instances of non-conforming outputs. 
• Present detailed reports of pertinent findings to management as required. 
• Contribute to the development of process flow charts. 
• Identify opportunities for value-added quality checks during in-process inspections. 
• Perform any other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge & Skills Requirements ✨

• Proficiency in software tools such as SharePoint, Power Automate, Microsoft Forms, and Power BI, or any other data analytics software. 
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical assembly inspection within a machine shop, manufacturing, or construction environment. 
• Expertise in the use of metrology equipment, including calipers and tape measures. 
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and follow technical documentation, such as work instructions, diagrams, engineering drawings, and specifications. 
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. 
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. 
• Capability to work independently and as an integral part of a diverse team of Quality Assurance Inspectors (QAIs). 
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word. 

Experience and Education 🎓🔧

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, industrial, or chemical engineering, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of progressive engineering experience. 
• Internal auditing experience. 
• Forklift operator experience. 
• Relevant Quality Assurance certifications (ASQ certifications preferred), such as Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), Certified Quality Technician (CQT), and Certified Quality Auditor (CQA). 
• Relevant Six Sigma certifications, including Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) and 5S Concept Certified (5SC).
