SUMMARY:Ensures proper functioning of Borrego Health facilities. Performs routine day-to-day unskilled activities and limited semiskilled manual work in general maintenance and construction. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Administrative Functions:1. Obtains work assignments from supervisor, contacts work order requestor and coordinates repairs with supervisor.2. Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of Facilities buildings and surrounding grounds.3. Performs minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing work.4. Cuts grass, weeds, and brush. Trims trees and shrubs. Cares for shrubs, flowers, and grass.5. Performs interior and exterior painting to maintain good appearance of clinic.6. Assists in sanitation control and checks safety hazards.7. Responsible for reporting all facilities issues and or concerns to supervisor to conduct proper follow up.8. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications:1. High School Diploma2. One or two years experience in related field.3. Hand tools and some power tools (saw, drill, etc).4. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical equipment, and carpentry.Special Conditions of Employment:1. Valid California drives license and acceptable driving record.2. All staff that is presently working within a clinic is required to have a Current and Valid CPR and First Aide certification on file with the Human Resources Department. This is for clinical and administrative staff. This new license requirement is mandatory for continued employment, CPR and First Aide certification must be obtained though the American Heart Association. Internet certificates do not comply and for this reason are not valid.This position does require travel to different clinics and vaccine events in the community. Transportation to clinics or vaccine events are not provided. Applicants must have their own reliable transportation. Mileage and travel time are paid.
