Borrego Health is Hiring a HR Business Partner Near Palm Desert, CA

This position will supportBorrego Health as a Human Resource Partner to assigned clinics and supportdepartments. Provides employee coaching and counseling to department directorsand managers in the areas of discipline, termination, grievances and interpretspolicies and procedures. Conducts investigations on claims of harassment,hostile work environment, etc. Provides general HR information to employees andleaders regarding all facets of HR services. Supports training on employeerelations issues. May support information gathering in response to legalmatters. EssentialDuties and Responsibilities: AdministrativeFunctions: 1. Serves as an HR Partner by providing information to all levels of employees regardingall facets of human resources functions. Directs employees to appropriate members of the human resources team fortechnical and complex support in areas of benefits, compensation andrecruiting. 2. Processes,investigates, and resolves informal and formal complaints, concerns, orquestions relative to human resource issues and provide consultative leadershipand support to all entities as appropriate. 3. Reviews disciplinary matters submitted by department and clinic managers and providesappropriate guidance and advice pursuant to organizational policy. May functionas HR representative and support to leadership during disciplinary meetings.Assists with the development of Performance Improvement Plans as necessary. 4. Support leadership by advising on performance review content and development. 5. May assist with data collection and analysis, metric development, reporting,improvement activities, development of training and follow-up activities. 6. Facilitates the interactive process with appropriate parties and determines andcommunicates employee work restrictions and potential accommodations. 7. Conducts and/or reviews employee exit interviews. Gathers and records information incentralized exit interview database. Makes recommendations for serviceimprovement based on interview feedback. 8. Works on a collaborative basis with managers and directors on resolution of humanresource issues. 9. Maintains current knowledge of federal and state statutes relating to employment andhuman resource legislation. 10. Other duties as assigned.Clinical Functions: 1. Communicates vision, goals and objectives within own departments and with other departments,including regular department updates regarding current activities. 3. Maintainsawareness of job responsibilities, challenges, barriers and needs withinreporting line.4. Contributesto department progress and maintains accountability, recommending, andparticipating in department and/or personnel evaluation and improvement effortsas necessary. 5. Effectivelycollaborates with other departments to work toward shared goals and commonvision6. Maintainsawareness of how department fits into the bigger organizational picture7. Maintainsknowledge of regulatory and oversight requirements and ensures compliance Program: 1. Maintainsawareness of organizational hierarchy, systems, and processes, and participatesin process improvement initiatives, as necessary. 2. Representativeof Borrego Health internally and externally 3. Presentsand pursues opportunities for further organizational development and growth4. Reports unethical, fraudulent, or unlawful behavior or activity.3. Upholds strict ethical standards Qualifications: MinimumQualifications: 1. Bachelor’sdegree in Human Resource Management or related business degree; Master’s degreepreferred2. SHRM-CPor SHRM-SCP credential highly preferred; must obtain in first year ofemployment if not already certified; SHRM CA HR Law Specialty Credentialpreferred 3. Minimumfive years’ experience in Employee Relations or related Human Resourcesgeneralist function.4. Workingknowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including employee relations,performance management, compensation administration, employment legislation,benefits administration.5. Knowledgeand experience in working with, advising, supporting, and mentoring leadership onemployee relations matters. 6. HRcertification highly preferred (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SHRM CA HR Law SpecialtyCredential) Special Conditions ofEmployment:1. Valid California driver’s license and acceptable driving record.2. All staff that ispresently working within a clinic is required to have a Current and Valid CPRand First Aide certification on file with the Human Resources Department. Thisis for clinical and administrative staff. This new license requirement ismandatory for continued employment, CPR and First Aide certification must beobtained through the American Heart Association. Internet certificates do notcomply and for this reason are not valid. Knowledge, Skills andAbilities:1. Excellent oral and written communication skills.2. Effective interpersonal skills. 3. Bilingual in Spanish/English Physical and MentalRequirements: 1. Ableto lift/move up to 20 pounds, move from place to place, and stand for longperiods of time2. Abilityto do math, organize and prioritize workload, work effectively and efficientlyunder stress3. Abilityto supervise, multitask, understand and follow instructions4. Abilityto proficiently read, write, speak and understand English Flexibility: Availablefor all shifts and, when required, able to work evenings and weekends.
