Role ELECTRICAL ENGINEER POSITION SUMMARY The position is located at BorgWarner’s Italy Plant in Lugo (RA). The Electrical Engineer will focus on supporting the BOMs maintenance activity of high power industrial battery chargers and drives/inverters, and of drawing electric systems schematics and layouts. He/she will also actively support the internal QA department for the improvement of the internal documentation versioning and archiving quality rules. The Electrical Engineer will report directly to the engineering manager. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities Supports the internal BOM maintenance department in creating, maintaining and updating all finished products BOMs, and coding components and modules. Supports QA for the definition of efficient documentation managing rules, and proactively coaches and monitors the engineering team for their correct introduction Draws professional electric systems circuits according to quality rules and international normative and standards, and generates the harness layout with the support of the mechanical team Analyses new systems, and eventually proposes improvements Supports Sales and engineering teams in the development and maintenance of a clear company products list with a synthesis of all relevant information for commercial purposes Develops technical documentation according to the internal quality system Works concurrently on multiple projects/subprojects EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Structured and target oriented mindset, able to achieve product/process goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment 3 years of experience as power electrical engineer in highly structured environment BS in Electrical Engineering Knowledge of GB/T 27930-2015, GB/T 34657-2017, IEC 61851-23 and related standards Fluent in English Background Knowledge of Electrical Engineering fundamentals Understanding of high voltage high power topologies, and components Structured mindset, with continuous improvement (kaizen) approach to processes Proficient in ECAD tools: Solidworks electrical (preferred), EPLAN,..
