Key Accountabilities Responsible for product / part capacity planning and ensuring effective equipment utilization Provides overall manufacturing planning which includes development of the detailed manufacturing Strategic Action Plan (STRAP) Coordinate regional Capex appropriation requests Implementation of Manufacturing Flexibility by developing standard manufacturing platforms Implementation of standard Bill of Process for specific product lines Standardization of Manufacturing concepts, including design and build of tooling built by internal and external tool making resources Develop the standard of Lean assembly systems, outlining sequence of operations, process flows, machine balance, operator balance, and take time requirements in process and manufacturing systems Leading the Manufacturing Engineering and participating in Project Team activity. Involvement will include working with cross-functional teams on a global basis Providing Mfg. Eng functional assistance to the PMO and Program Managers on RCP programs Communication. Includes global communications with Operations, and all functional areas Support Energy Management and saving activities. New product line design about energy saving assessment. MES system management, collect requirement etc. Qualifications & Requirements Knowledge of manufacturing processes. Includes automatic assembly processes, operator controlled processes, machine controls, secondary processes (welding, staking, orbital forming, coil winding, termination processes, press-fit operations, fastener torqueing, process gaging, process tests, and part’s making / fabrication functions and processes Design engineering knowledge, outlining of concepts, development of PFMEA’s, and process flow development. (Note: Knowledge of starting motors, alternators and Hybrid motors would be of benefit, but not required) Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Strong Project Management knowledge (deliverables to a manufacturing project) Understanding of Lean Principles Understanding of Error-proofing and Poke-Yoke techniques and concepts Ability to travel and assisting outside suppliers. Focus on assisting in reducing costs. Organization and planning skills, outlining of project timelines and deliverables Capability to manage multiple projects at the same time Capability to work directly with outside suppliers on equipment and tooling procurement, setting priorities, and following up with outside suppliers to meet project objectives Experience with Kaizen workshops, reducing costs, developing lean improvements in our operations Computer skills, MS Word, Excel, Project, AutoCAD *Disclaimer statement: Career Scam Disclaimer: BorgWarner makes no representations or guarantees regarding employment opportunities listed on any third-party website.
