Software Solution Architect and Test Engineer

Key Role:

Develop systems that can anticipate and preempt future issues. Evolve your skills into strategy through a long path of software development accomplishments and the curiosity to understand how all the pieces of an IT ecosystem fit together. Basic Qualification:

• 4 years of experience testing or developing software applications
• Experience designing and executing test scripts, test plans, procedures, and documenting the expected and actual results
• Experience coordinating and executing acceptance testing
• Experience in requirements traceability
• Experience with test methodologies, software release cycle, test effort estimation, and tracking
• Experience in Linux or UNIX environments
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain Security CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience testing frameworks and tools like Cucumber and JMeter
• Experience with Load or Performance testing
• Experience testing Cloud-based architectures and test automation
• Experience with an Agile release methodology
• Knowledge of government contracting practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
• Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree
• Security CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
