Data Analyst

The Opportunity:

As Data Analyst, you love diving into data and turning it into meaningful insights. With the abundance of structured and unstructured data, you understand the importance of transforming complex data sets into useful information to solve challenges.

As a client-facing data analyst on our Strategic Innovation team, you'll be a part of a fun, collaborative group that helps clients dig into their data-rich environments and advises them on what the information means. You will help optimize processes that ultimately secure the Nation.

How You'll Contribute:

As a data analyst on our team, you'll:

• Use your technical knowledge and analytical mindset to support client and stakeholder relationships.
• Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through the collection, interpretation, evaluation, analysis, and reporting of large data sets.
• Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations.
• Apply consulting skills and data analytics experience by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on audience.
• Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases and scripting languages such as SQL, Python, R, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.
• Apply data visualization through different formats such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides.
• Grow your communication and technical skills by merging consulting and big data to create data-centric solutions across Defense agencies.

You Have:

• Experience analyzing and interpreting data from multiple disparate sources
• Knowledge of how to use data to tell a story
• Ability to conduct queries and develop algorithms to analyze data structures
• Ability to build visualizations and dashboards to report data insights
• Ability to communicate complex information, concepts, and ideas in a confident and well-organized manner to all levels of an organization
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics or Data Science

Nice If You Have:

• Experience manipulating and cleaning large, disparate datasets
• Experience organizing events and outreach campaigns
• Knowledge of cyber security and ethics in computing

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $45,400.00 to $93,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
