Job Summary

Join us in a cause to make life better for the citizens in our community. We are seeking a skilled HR professional to be part of our team. As the HR Specialist, you will be responsible for various human resources functions. This includes a variety of responsibilities such as: administrative functions, recruiting and onboarding, workers’ compensation, safety team planning, and benefits administration.

Responsibilities

• Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating
• Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees
• Ensuring new hire paperwork is completed and processed
• Informing job applicants of job duties, responsibilities, benefits, schedules, working conditions, promotion opportunities, etc.
• Addressing any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations
• Processing all personnel action forms and ensuring proper approval
• Overseeing hiring process, which includes coordinating job posts, reviewing resumes, and performing reference checks

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, business administration, or other relevant fields
• SHRM CP or HRCI PHR desired
• Previous HR or Office Management experience preferred
• Ability to work independently with little supervision required
• Ability to work under pressure
• Thorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Ideally, must live in or near Fillmore or Delta, Utah.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
