DEPARTMENT: Extrusion 3rd shifts
JOB TITLE: Systems Operator B
REPORT TO : Shift Supervisor with directions from a Team Leader
SHIFT NIGHTS/HOURS:
3rd Shift position: (9:00 p.m.- 5:00 am.) Monday - Thursday over a course of 5 days (40 hours) per week. Some overtime may be required throughout the week and some Friday nights.
STARTING PAY: $21.12 (.50 shift premium) with the ability to earn more.
Systems Operators B will be responsible for setting the press up, selecting dies, performing maintenance, and troubleshooting problems.
What You Will Be Responsible For:

• Responsible for the safe and efficient running of the extrusion press
• Promptly communicates to supervisor any issues concerning health, safety, quality, and efficiencies.
• Responsible for the in-process inspection/verification of parts during extrusion
• Monitor and maintain good physical condition of extrusion press and handling equipment.
• Meet the quality standards required by customer specifications.
• Responsible for inspecting parts after the stretching operation.
• Follow company procedures and policies.
• Responsible to ensure right alloys are running for correct process.
• Read and understand shop orders.
• Read and understand calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Read and understand prints.
• Run the press and meet all press requirements.
• Must be able to read a go- and no-go gauge to check material after it has been aged.
• Must fill out check sheets for any moving equipment before it is used.
• Operate an electric cart and overhead crane.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor or team leader.

Work Environment/ Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25- 75 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and is not a climatized building.

What You Will Need:

• HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• Must be able to pass a skills-based test.
• Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively: self-motivated: self-starter.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• A minimum of three (3) months' related experience and/or training, preferred, but willing to train the right individuals.
• Must be able to pass company background check.
