Job Requirements:

• Any combination of 1 year(s) health/social services experience and/or education
• Good driving record and reliable transportation
• Background check and fingerprinting
• Bilingual (Spanish) encouraged to apply
• Computer skills
• Willing to grow with a start-up nonprofit organization

Key Responsibilities:

• Help enroll participants into Covered California, Medi-Cal, CalFresh
• Create reports using Excel/Word
• Deliver/send organization flyers to different community partners or local businesses
• Assist with outreach events
• Give presentations to promote programs and services
• Build and maintain positive work relationships with different community-based organizations, state agencies, and local businesses
• Assist clients in understanding their health plan
• Provide appropriate client follow-up after the first encounter
• Help screen clients, schedule appointments, and assist with the completion of applications for eligible programs
• Document activities and results in an effective manner while following the policies and procedures in place
• Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Experience:

• Social work: 1 year (Preferred)
• Public health: 1 year (Preferred)
• Bilingual: 3 years (Required)
• Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
