Pharmacist Needed-Hospital in Brooklyn
Full Time Temporary (potentially full-time/Part-time permanent placement) Position

Job Description:

1. Demonstrates ability to read, analyze and interpret pharmacy related journals.
2. Demonstrates the ability to define problems, collect data, establish fact and draw valid conclusions.
3. Demonstrates the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract variables.
4. Demonstrates ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as dosage calculations.
5. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customer, regulatory agencies or members of the hospital staff.
6. Ability to assist management in specialized projects.
7. Compounds, preserves and dispenses all medication orders as written by an authorized practitioner on the staff of hospital.
8. Reviews medication orders and pharmacy profiles to ensure that appropriate, quality pharmacy services are being provided to our patients.
9. Provides and documents drug information furnished to practitioners of hospital.

Requirements/Qualifications:

1. Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD with current NYS Pharmacist License and Registration.
2. Chemotherapy preparation experience.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Extensive knowledge of legal and regulatory standards of hospital pharmacy.
5. Minimum of 2 - years' experience in a hospital pharmacy experience.

7. IV admixture
