Role Description
This is a contract position for a Welding Inspector at Boilermatic Welding Industries, Inc. The Welding Inspector will be responsible for quality control, welding inspection, quality assurance, and overall inspection processes on the construction/replacement of natural gas transmission mains, pressure regulator stations, CNG stations, etc. This is an on-site role, primarily based in Staten Island/Bronx/Brooklyn, NY.
Qualifications
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required
- ASME and API1104 experience preferred
- Familiarity with NDT methods MT, RT, UT, and PT
- Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Inspection skills
- Excel and Word proficient
- Welding Inspection and Welding expertise
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Experience in the construction or welding industry
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in welding or quality control preferred
Job Details
- $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
- Perdiem
- No less than 40 hours per week
- Overtime
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
