Job Title: Training Specialist

Job Type: Full-time (Non-Exempt)

Full time Location: Northeast Indiana, Northwest Ohio, and Southwest Michigan

The Training Specialist delivers field-based group training designed to enhance skills, knowledge and performance of Bohl Companies’ employees and the employees of their customers. Training content will be determined and created by the Training Director and developed in partnership with Bohl leadership. This position requires a combination of instructional design skills, subject matter expertise, and strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Schedule, quote, and conduct Overhead Crane and Powered Industrial Truck Operator & Train the Trainer training services for customers and associates, in compliance with applicable standards.
• Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to identify training needs and objectives.
• Design, develop, and update training materials, modules, and resources using a variety of mediums such as presentations, e-learning, job aids, and videos.
• Ensure training content aligns with organizational goals, policies, and industry best practices.
• Provide ongoing coaching and support to trainees to reinforce learning.
• Manage compliance and maintain accurate records on all training programs.
• Complete miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned by Bohl Management.

Position Requirements:

• Education:

o High School Diploma or GED

• Experience:

o Experience working in mechanical position and environment a plus

o Experience speaking before groups

• Required Skills:

o Strong knowledge powered industrial trucks and overhead cranes

o Solid knowledge of OSHA/MIOSHA regulations

o Proficient computer skills to include the MS office suite.

o Effective oral and written communication.

o Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.

o Excellent organizational and time management skills.

o Remain up-to-date with regulations and advancements to continuously enhance training offerings.

• Travel Requirements:

o 75% of work schedule

Physical Requirements:

• Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in using hands and fingers to use keyboard, or perform delicate tasks.
• Visual Acuity: Sufficient vision to read documents, operate office equipment, or perform tasks that require accurate visual perception.
• Hearing Ability: Adequate hearing to understand verbal instructions, communicate with others, or detect auditory signals or warnings.
• Sitting: Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Standing: Ability to stand for long periods of time during presentations.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
