To learn more visit becu.org/careers. PAY RANGE The Target Pay Range for this position is $107,600-$131,600 annually. The full Pay Range is $83,500-$155,600 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role. Additional details regarding BECU Benefits can be found here. SUMMARY The Cybersecurity Engineer is involved in the full security life cycle in a multi-platform environment. This role will assist in maintaining an efficient and secure enterprise infrastructure that offers secure and uninterrupted service for our customers. The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining risk appropriate solutions in response to business requirements in all compute and storage platforms in a highly complex environment. This position will support and use a portfolio of hardware and software solutions that provide cyber defenses across the entire spectrum of the cyber attack chain from data and identity to enabling disaster recovery. This role is central to the efficient and effective use of platform security solutions; including mobile, cloud, and BECU-hosted environments with the overall goal of enhancing and maturing BECU’s cybersecurity maturity. RESPONSIBILITIES Perform all responsibilities in accordance with BECU Competencies, compliance, regulatory and Information Protection requirements. Contribute to solution evaluations; implement, and ensure operations of cybersecurity related tools and services, including troubleshooting, ensuring functionality, and stability. Provides feedback and engagement with peers and Management to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness of Cybersecurity services. Contribute to the enhancement and adaptation of BECU's Policies, Standards, and Guidelines to support changing threats and evolution of technology in use by the business and Tech across BECU. Ensure root cause analysis of identified tooling issues, follow-through and resolution. Identify necessary product and platform upgrades and operational gaps. Contribute to the development of performance and security metrics based on the tools and technology used. Run monitoring, alerting, and escalation tasks for cybersecurity events that are identified, detected, observed, or possible as part of a proactive, defensive cybersecurity team. Operate tools and technology within the organization’s security portfolio relative to the various compute and storage platforms used (cloud, mobile, on-prem, colo, etc.) based on a digital-first methodology and industry best practices. Develop and validate documentation for processes and procedures of Cybersecurity tooling. Support and drive implementation of controls and requirements for cybersecurity and IT infrastructure across all compute and storage platforms. Contribute to process development for implementation and integration of Cybersecurity tooling. Provide security related on-call support, as defined by standard operating procedures. Participate as a member of the Security Incident Response Team. Perform additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science or equivalent education or work experience required. Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in cyber security, security engineering, network engineering, computer incident response, systems architecture, digital platform security (cloud), or related experience required. Active CISSP, CISM or equivalent certification preferred. Additional certifications in cloud technology such as CCSK or CCSP are preferred. Proficient verbal and written skills required to effectively communicate. Ability to evaluate risk and communicate it in a fact-based manner. Excellent conceptual, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills preferred. Be available on an on-call basis to respond to pending issues or problems arising during non-business hours and provide support and response.
