As the Director of Group Sales at The Boca Raton, this candidate will direct and manage the group team and focus on the maximization of group and event revenue potential for the resort. This candidate specializes in selling group including all revenue streams (rooms, spa, programming, F&B) with the global group market. It is pivotal that this candidate has experience as a proven sales director that prides themselves on team development, peer relationships and knowledgeable strategies to grow and develop business.
The Director of Group Sales retains an important peer role on the property Leadership Team and is present on site inspiring the sales and team. This position hires, trains, and manages and coach group sales and their responsibilities. The best candidate has a passion for direct sales and prides themselves on their communication skills and attention to detail. With a proven track record of revenue-growing sales tactics, the ideal candidate has experience selling all segments of the group market with four and five star resorts.
The ideal candidate is engaging and comfortable giving presentations in front of clients and stakeholders. Expert business responsibilities include: team coaching, management of sales expenses, analyzing data reports, establishing yearly goas and forecasting group production, managing lead and tentative pipeline, managing the client/lead database and extensive experience with Delphi.
This position will report directly to the Chief Sales Officer. In addition to managing team efforts, the Director of Group Sales also has a sales goal to manage personally with a quota responsibility. This position works closely with the Director of Catering and Revenue Management in order to maximize profits and align on space use.
