Rental/Inventory Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Rental/Inventory Coordinator is responsible for the management and coordination of Bobcat Central Inc rental department and whole goods inventory. The individual will need to be motivated and required to meet and exceed our customer’s expectations while increasing rental revenue and gross profit margins. As the Rental / Inventory Coordinator, this person will be responsible for managing and coordinating Bobcat of Fresno rental inventory assets to include machines and equipment attachment inventory.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Rental Coordinator
Maintain relationships with current customers and establish working relationships with new customers/prospects to increase the rental business. Based on customer needs, create a seamless rental process for the customer to include locating the proper machine for the application, rental rate options, insurance requirements, transportation requirements, prompt and accurate check in on machine returns and ensure that all rental invoicing is accurate preferably the first time. This person must be able to communicate well both (verbal and written) with team members, department managers and others within the company to ensure a consistent, predictable and repeatable successful experience for customer. This person will be responsible for Fresno location rental fleet. In example, inspecting the equipment and coordinating with the service department necessary maintenance and repairs. Propose equipment mix and inventory levels with the Sales Director, assist with rental goals and keep informed of our competition in order to stay competitive in the market place. On a weekly basis reports to the Sales Director lost rentals, daily call report logging rental calls and future opportunities.
ESSENTAIL JOB FUNCTIONS: Inventory Coordinator
The Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring Bobcat of Fresno equipment and attachment inventory. All machines and attachments must be organized on the property in accordance with the Sales Director directions. This person must be able to communicate well both (verbal and written) with team members, department managers and others within the company. Will be required to receive new/used machines, attachments and properly log them into inventory with stock numbers. New machines and attachments will require the coordination with the service department manager to ensure the PDI process is completed in a timely manner. Coordinating of transportation to include branch transfers and/or customer related hauls. During the year, the Rental/Inventory Coordinator will participate and assist with dealer and/or factory machine and attachment audits.
Weekly reports will be submitted to the Inventory Controller in Stockton to include machine/attachments on demo, machines/attachments on the ready line waiting for sales deliveries and an attachment inventory list containing current stock and recommended re-stocking attachments. All machine/attachment movement will require prior authorization from the Sales Director or Inventory Controller in Stockton which will include a demo or tracking form that will be submitted immediately upon request for authorization.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
Associates degree in Business or related discipline preferred
Prior experience in sales, rental and or customer service experience is required
Familiar with the use of heavy equipment in a comparable industry experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record is required.
Must be able to communicate in English (speak, read, comprehend and write) bilingual in Spanish preferred but not mandatory.
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time along with walking, standing, climbing stairs, reaching, pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting (and to get in and out of equipment safely).
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as required.
Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
