Job Description: HotelGeneral Manager
Position Title: Hotel General Manager
Job Summary: The Hotel General Manager isresponsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, ensuringexceptional guest experiences, and driving business growth. This role requiresstrong leadership, strategic planning, and excellent communication skills toeffectively manage hotel staff, guest services, finances, and overall hotelperformance. Key Responsibilities:
1.Leadership andManagement:
·Provide strategicdirection and leadership to all hotel departments, including front office,housekeeping, food and beverage, sales, and maintenance.
·Recruit, train,supervise, and evaluate hotel staff to ensure high performance and exceptionalguest service.
·Set performance goals,establish policies and procedures, and monitor adherence to standards.
·Foster a positive workenvironment and promote teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
2.Guest Services:
·Ensure exceptionalguest experiences by maintaining high service standards and responding promptlyto guest feedback and concerns.
·Oversee theimplementation of guest service programs, including check-in/check-outprocedures, guest relations, and special requests.
·Monitor guestsatisfaction scores, reviews, and feedback to identify areas for improvementand implement corrective actions.
3.Operations Management:
·Monitor and manage allhotel operations, including room availability, reservations, pricing, revenuemanagement, and inventory control.
·Collaborate withdepartment heads to ensure efficient and effective operations, adherence tobrand standards, and compliance with legal and safety regulations.
·Develop and implementoperational policies, procedures, and initiatives to optimize guestsatisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability.
4.Financial Management:
·Develop and manage thehotel's annual budget, including revenue forecasts, expense control, and costoptimization.
·Monitor financialperformance and key performance indicators (KPIs), such as occupancy rates,average daily rate (ADR), revenue per available room (RevPAR), and profitmargins.
·Analyze financialreports, identify trends, and implement strategies to maximize revenue andminimize expenses.
·Establish and maintainrelationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effectiveprocurement of goods and services.
5.Sales and Marketing:
·Develop and executesales and marketing strategies to drive business growth and achieve revenuetargets.
·Collaborate with thesales team to identify target markets, implement pricing strategies, and securecorporate accounts and group bookings.
·Monitor market trends,competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities forpromotional campaigns, packages, and partnerships.
6.Quality Assurance:
·Ensure compliance withbrand standards, quality assurance programs, and health and safety regulations.
·Conduct regularinspections and audits to maintain high cleanliness, maintenance, and servicestandards.
·Address and resolvecustomer complaints, service deficiencies, and operational issues promptly andeffectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
·Bachelor's degree inHospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master'sdegree is a plus.
·Proven experience as aGeneral Manager or in a senior leadership role within the hospitality industry.
·Strong knowledge ofhotel operations, revenue management, and industry trends.
·Excellent leadershipand team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire employees.
·Exceptional customerservice skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
·Strong financialacumen and experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
·Effectiveproblem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations.
·Excellent communicationand interpersonal skills to interact with guests, staff, and stakeholders.
·Proficiency in hotelmanagement systems, property management software, and Microsoft Office.
·Ability to workflexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
