Job Title: Systems Administrator

Hours: Full-Time (40)

Compensation: $26.44 - $31.25 Hourly (based on experience and qualifications)

Reports to: Service Manager

About the Role:

The System Administrator is responsible for handling escalated service requests and providing technical assistance to team members with system and network issues. This relates to all technology, to include workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work in a team environment providing IT support resolving onsite and remote issues with servers, workstations, and other IT related hardware/software
  • Maintain client documentation, to include how-to documents and network-related documentation
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure projects are completed per agreed timelines
  • IT support and configuration for Microsoft related technologies, to include Microsoft 365, Azure and Windows Server.
  • Implement system solutions for clients using technologies that meet their needs
  • Support SaaS and server backup and disaster recovery (BDR) solutions
  • Technical support and documentation at the network level to include WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Actively contribute to operational efficiencies by recommending changes in policies and procedures
  • System documentation and consulting services to include system reviews and recommendations
  • Communicate with clients as required: keeping them informed of incident/project progress and notifying them of impending changes and/or agreed outages

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction
  • Work within a team and communicate effectively
  • Escalate service or project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels
  • Enter all work as service or project tickets
  • Intermediate understanding of operating systems, business applications, printers, and network systems
  • Develop knowledge of the Bmore Technology service catalog and how it relates to our clients’ needs
  • Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities
  • Create external facing documentation for clients
  • Responsible for entering time and expenses as they occur
  • Understand processes in ConnectWise Manage, Automate, and Control.
  • Review IT publications and online materials to remain up to date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry

  • Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details and documentation
  • Willingness to develop professionally
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Educational/Previous Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related
  • Three to five years of relevant experience
  • Professional IT Certifications from vendors such as Microsoft or CompTIA
