Bluestone Lane is hiring a Staff Accountant to assist with the management and reporting of financial data for our cafes and coffee shops. They will be responsible for preparing financial statements, examining and analyzing all accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures. This is a remote position (preferably based in LA or NY).What you’ll do:Own all accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliationsManage accounts payable using accounting ERP and other software programsReview invoices for appropriate documentation prior to paymentPerform invoice and general ledger data entryPerform daily sales summary and credit card reconciliation.Prepare weekly bank reconciliations.Maintain the fixed assets schedule and depreciationPrepare various monthly general ledger reconciliationsAssist in preparation of monthly financial reportsAssist with special projects and ad-hoc requests including lease accounting changesWho you are:You have a B.S. in Accounting, with 2-3 years experience preferably in a multi-unit hospitality or retail business You have demonstrated ability to be an independent problem-solver with strong attention to detail and accuracyYou are a self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgencyYou have general knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principlesYou have advance Microsoft Excel skills, Restaurant 365 and PlateIQ experience preferred Our teams benefit from:Career development opportunities with a growing company!Compensation in the $75-85k range (DOE) Annual bonusPaid vacation & holidays401k with company matchHealthcare & Paid Parental LeaveMedia stipend Fitness/wellness reimbursement programCommuter benefit plan Weekly food and beverage creditBluestone Lane provides a competitive compensation & benefits package.
