Principal Program Manager

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $170,000 - $205,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is not a remote position.

Additional Compensation: This position is eligible for an end-of-year bonus.

Position Description:

We are looking for a Space Principal program manager to join our dynamic team, someone passionate about shaping the future of space data utilization. As a Space Principal program manager at Bluestaq, you will be crucial in supporting classified space onboarding discussions and acting as a technical liaison for consuming applications. Your program management expertise will drive the integration and management of data sources into the Unified Data Library (UDL), ensuring its effectiveness in supporting the space community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support space onboarding discussions for existing and future providers.
  • Act as a technical liaison with consuming applications looking to pull data from the Unified Data Library.
  • Monitor help desk accounts, providing feedback and answers to space-based users on correctly interacting with the UDL.
  • Collaborate with Intelligence Community (IC) partners in leveraging the UDL, including integration and configuration support.
  • Manage and prioritize the backlog of data sources to be integrated into the UDL.
  • Capture space data needs from operational customers, ensuring UDL alignment with the space community's requirements.
  • Travel to customer sites monthly for customer engagement and to facilitate increased use of the UDL.
  • Conduct training sessions for external users on interfacing with the UDL at multiple levels.
  • Contribute to data modeling for new and existing space-focused data schemas.
  • Attend conferences as required, gathering insights on community needs and opportunities for UDL support.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in systems engineering within the space domain.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer and partner engagement.
  • Experience in data modeling and managing large data integration projects.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and conferences monthly.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and guide users in complex systems.
  • Skilled in identifying and mitigating potential risks to program success.
  • Adept at evaluating alternative solutions and making logical decisions.
  • Competence in managing multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment.
  • High level of personal ownership and a continuous desire to learn and adapt.

Required Education: 16 years in Program Management and Systems Engineering with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field OR associate degree with 4 additional years of military or civilian analysis or operations beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree OR a High School Diploma with 12 additional years of combined engineering and space operations experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. To be eligible for clearance, US Citizenship is required, and an employee must agree to participate in a background screen and credit check.

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
