Responsibilities

BlueHalo is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer with experience in Full-Stack Software development, Interface based software composition, Object Oriented design, and Modeling and Simulation development. Applicant will architect solutions and lead the development and maintenance of multi-agent inspection algorithms, flight-software, and ground-system tools to support a software simulation environment as well as future flight missions. This position is in Albuquerque, NM. Responsibilities include:

• Support and interact with Government and internal customers for software needs and requirements.
• Support upper management to develop corporate computing requirements and goals.
• Support software team members with mentorship, peer reviews and professional development.
• Lead an Agile Software Team to develop full stack solutions, using languages such as C , Rust, Go, Python, and various Web Technologies.
• Work in a collaborative environment to create solutions for supporting our simulations, analysis, study, and mission support efforts.
• Architect software solutions in the Space Logistics and Robotics realm to simulate various scenarios to include multi-agent inspection and proximity and rendezvous operations.
• Implement solutions including Algorithms, Flight Software, Communications, Ground System Command and Control, and post simulation analysis tools.
• Oversee continuous integration tests and support our efforts to create and fully utilize a continuous integration/continuous deployment environment.
• Oversee development and maintenance of an enclave network environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance
• BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of experience in programming in one or more of the following languages: C, C , Rust, Java.
• 5 years of recent experience with Web Technologies: Typescript, Javascript, HTML, CSS, and Web UI frameworks such as React, VueJS, or Angular
• Work as a Lead Software Architect/Engineer in a team environment performing/assisting with requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, documentation, and peer review.
• Lead a team using an Agile software development process in the development of software solutions.
• Ability to quickly ramp up on new software technologies.
• Experience with Agile development processes.
• Experience with source control technologies, processes, and advance branching strategies.
• Experience with network stack development at multiple levels within the OSI architecture model.
• Experience with containerization and containerized computing environments.
• Ability to switch between languages with a minimal amount of transition/ramp time.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Security Clearance (DoD or DoE)
• Experience/Familiarity in working with Linux and Windows Development Tools
• Experience/Familiarity with Test Driven Development
• Experience/Familiarity with Robotic Operating System 2 (ROS2)
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Containerd, Helm, and Buildkit, Git
• Experience/Familiarity developing in the following languages: Rust, C/C , Go.
• Experience/Familiarity with messaging/pub-sub platforms such as Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ
• Experience/Familiarity with web technologies such as React, VueJS, and WebAssembly.
• Experience/Familiarity with Orbital Dynamics and Space Situational Awareness.
• Experience/Familiarity with Markdown.
