BlueHalo is looking for the right candidate to join our team and provide early-mid career level system administration support to two of our customers at KAFB. Both customers and their programs support the research and development to cutting edge solutions in direct support of space capabilities. This is an onsite, customer facing position in Albuquerque New Mexico. With support of senior IT staff, this position provides daily support and maintenance of Windows/Linux servers, workstations, networking equipment and VMWare VSphere. A typical day can include addressing user issues, account management, system upgrades/patching and providing guidance related to future enhancements to the systems. It is expected that this person will eventually assume a senior system administration role for the environments and server as the primary point of contact for all technical matters. The user population of these systems includes researchers, scientists, and general users.
The ideal candidate for this position is someone with a strong background in customer-facing technical support who is looking to expand their skillset and make the jump to the level of their career. This person will be comfortable addressing time sensitive issues for which they may not have an immediate answer but now how to research and respond with a solution.
