BlueHalo is currently looking for a talented electrical engineer that works with digital hardware, programmable logic devices, digital radio, and embedded systems. The engineer must be able to allocate requirements, interact and oversee other members of the technical staff, perform circuit-level and board-level design, schematic entry, components research and selection, component engineering, engineering analyses, printed wiring board layout and routing, engineering documentation, and design reviews. The engineer must understand and oversee the engineering process, from design kick-off to production; and, must be capable of technical management, leading the various disciplines involved in production of a product.
The engineer is responsible for digital logic, analog interfacing, embedded systems, and RF communications design and development. Essential knowledge includes system and circuit-level digital, analog, and point-of-load power design fundamentals, microprocessor systems design and development, and ‘C’ and assembly language programming. Knowledge of RF communications is helpful. The engineer is expected to adapt to new challenges and learn new competencies. The experienced engineer is expected to lead hardware development efforts independently, with little supervision and a high probability of success, providing advice and guidance to entry-level members of the development staff.
