BlueHalo is seeking a Calibration Technician to support Blue Halo Labs in Albuquerque, NM. In this role, the Calibration Technician calibrates equipment and maintains the calibration program for the Albuquerque sites.
• Familiar with AS9100 & ISO 17025, and ANSI/ESD S20.20 requirements• Coordinate calibration schedules with site departments and service providers to ensure equipment is maintained in a calibrated state while minimizing the impact to production.• Obtain quotes and create purchase documentation as needed to facilitate calibration.• Coordinate calibration scheduling with external calibration services.• Verify and log serviced calibration equipment upon receipt as required by QMS procedures.• Performs/supports instrument audits on equipment to ensure equipment is calibrated and due dates are met.• Support Quality during audits and visits.• Provide key input and manage the transition of site calibration procedures and records retention to an SAP based calibration system.• Control and properly document non-conforming equipment.• Identify and recommend continual improvement opportunities for quality systems.• Coordinate, perform, maintain, and update required calibration documentation/procedures.• Assist with the verification of all documentation/certs and complete corrections as needed.• File electronic copies of records for retention purposes.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
• Typically requires a High School diploma and two years of vocational or military training in electronics, hydraulics, mechanics, physics and/or chemistry• 1 years of experience with calibration concepts and requirements including accuracy testing, traceability and substitution of standards in a regulated environment, experience with conducting tests, record data, troubleshoot, calibrate and repair equipment and maintain processing records• Organizational skills• Effective communication skills• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and industry related software).
Physical Attributes:• Use of hand tools, small power tools and test equipment.• Lift or move equipment/material weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.
