The ideal candidate for the Assembly Technician position will possess a strong technical background, mechanical dexterity, attention to detail, and a willingness to contribute to the development and sustainment of complex RF C-UAS systems. The Assembly Technician will be a critical member of the engineering staff, taking direction from our lead mechanical engineer to ensure timely and efficient completion of daily tasking.
Primary responsibilities include performing consistent assembly and disassembly of our Titan system, subassemblies, and external components. Additionally, they will perform diagnostic tests on production systems and carry out engineering changes when required to ensure the final product functions to performance specifications. Supporting field test & evaluation and performing quality assurance activities are also major components of the role.
The candidate should be comfortable working with electronic subassemblies, soldering, custom cable production, following build plans and specifications, and performing basic component-level troubleshooting. Other responsibilities include helping to prepare and perform quality assurance activities on production systems prior to shipping. Strong communication skills are also vital as this position will have a direct impact on the quality and efficacy of mission-critical protective systems.
- The candidate should have 1-5 years of relevant experience
- A mechanical or electrical engineering degree is preferred, but not a requirement
- Soldering skills at the component level, surface mount device expertise is a plus
- Experience with 3D printing is a plus
- Must be a US Citizen with appropriate identification
