Position: Customer Service Representative – Personal Lines Insurance

Our independent insurance agency is seeking a licensed personal lines account manager to join our team and provide exceptional customer service to our clients. As a customer service representative, you will be responsible for servicing a book of personal insurance accounts, responding to client calls about policy changes, updates, and coverage questions, and working closely with our personal lines producers and insurance company representatives.

Responsibilities:

• Support and service a wide range of personal lines accounts, including auto, home, boat, and recreational policies.
• Provide timely and professional day-to-day client service and support agency producers with customer service-related tasks.
• Cross-sell or account round as needed to ensure clients have appropriate coverage.
• Act as a liaison between clients, producers, and insurance company representatives, handling certificates, endorsements, binders, and first claims.
• Assist with marketing, quoting, rating of new client business, and account renewals.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to navigate multiple carrier platforms and agency management systems
• Experience in data entry, processing, and analysis using relevant software
• Familiarity with online communication and collaboration tools such as video conferencing, instant messaging, and file sharing platforms
• Knowledge of basic troubleshooting techniques for hardware, software, and network issues
• Comfortable working with remote technology such as virtual private networks (VPNs) and remote desktop access tools
• Current Property and Casualty license is not required for the right candidate. Speed and proficiency with computer systems can offset any lack of experience.
