POSITION: Accounts Receivable Clerk
COMPANY/DEPARTMENT: Blue Streak Transportation
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Non-Exempt Full Time
JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable Clerk to provide financial, administrative and clerical services. Duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying receipts.Major Functions and Scope:

Enter invoices in different customers portals (OpenInvoice, Cortex, etc.)

Make and receive collection calls

Deliver invoices to customers daily

Prepare invoices and make bank deposits

Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues

General office support tasks, i.e. filing, scanning, customer service, etc.

Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients on a weekly basis

Generate reports detailing accounts receivable status

Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedure
- Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position
- JD Edwards experience a plus
- OpenInvoice experience a plus
- Inventory experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- High School Degree required
- Must be detail oriented
- Good communications skills both written and verbally
- Knowledge of accounts receivable and payable processes
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures
- Knowledge of relevant accounting software
- Proficient in data entry and management
