Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. is Hiring a Data Engineer Near Washington, DC
Blue Rose is seeking a Data Engineer to support our work with a federal client in Washington, DC. This is an On-site role and is open to U.S. Citizens ONLY.
In this role you will:
- Responsible for building end-to -ETL processes for a variety of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources using a range of tools including some ETL tools and open-source programming (python) to ingest into a S3 Data Lake environment
- Design, develop, and unit test new or existing ETL/Data Integration solutions to meet business requirements
- Design and develop data integration/engineering workflows on big data technologies and platforms (Spark)
- Develop workflows in the cloud environment using Cloud base architecture in (AWS)
- Develop dataflows and processes for the Data Warehouse using SQL (e.g., Athena Postgres DynamoDB)
- Participate in Code reviews
- Assist in QA efforts on tasks by providing input for test
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must have:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in AWS Glue/Advanced Experience REQUIRED
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Python (Programming Language) /Advanced Experience REQUIRED
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in AWS Lambda/Advanced Experience REQUIRED
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in AWS DevOps & Development/Advanced Experience REQUIRED
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Agile Team Practices/Advanced Experience REQUIRED
- Strong background in SQL, AWS glue, Aroura, python, Linux, ETL best practices, strong attention to detail, and a can-do attitude
- Strong Python development for data transfers and extractions (ELT or ETL)
Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Salary: $125,000 - $135,000
