Blue Origin is Hiring a Cyber Security Architect Near Seattle, WA

As part of a small, hardworking and accomplished team of specialists, you will protect and secure for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of Cyber Security. Additionally, the team member will lead and assist with many aspects of architecture, engineering, and compliance on the Cyber Security team. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. In this role you will work with engineering, development and architecture groups to provide and test security requirements for new applications and systems. You will contribute to the design, documentation and deployment of new and existing security technologies while also being a member of the Solutions Architecture Advisory Board. This role works closely with the Cyber Security team and the project teams to perform architectural reviews and security acceptance testing of solutions. You will be responsible for documenting processes and procedures relating to Cyber Security technologies. You will assist the Dir, Cyber Security Engineering and Architecture with maintaining the Cyber Security Roadmap. We need this role to support the security organization with maintaining customer compliance requirements revolving around NIST, ISO and Cyber Security Policy as well as industry best application security practices around hardening and . As a senior member of the team, you will also be responsible for mentoring other team members on Security technologies and standards. Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience Confirmed experience with diagramming key data flows, assigning subsystems, assigning trust boundaries, defining boundary protections and performing threat modeling Confirmed experience with security application testing and solution security requirements reviews with developers/stakeholders. Confirmed experience being a key member of an architecture review board and associated processes. Familiarity with various host, network and cloud-based security technologies Familiarity with government and classified systems security requirements Experience with NIST800 standards including 30, 53, 82, and 171 Experience with ISO27000 series standards Ability to work with all levels of an organization up to the Executive Staff and external customers Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
