Blue Origin Florida, LLC is Hiring a Technical Project Manager Near Space Coast, FL

As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers, you will be managing multiple key projects and systems for Blue Origin’s new launch site at LC-36 (Cape Canaveral, FL). You’ll have the unique opportunity to be part of a great team building the mechanical and structural systems and GSE (Ground Support Equipment) needed for Blue Origin’s giant rocket, New Glenn! Come and join us! This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required! Responsibilities: Provide project management support and leadership for responsible systems/subsystems. Provide project management oversight, monitor and control of a group of system/subsystem projects. Facilitate and lead the planning, execution, and control of system/subsystem schedules and budget. Coordinate planning, forecasting, and variance reporting with the finance team. Work closely with RE’s (Responsible Engineers), CPM’s (Contract Project Managers), and procurement PM’s to develop, execute and monitor procurement packages. Manage vendors responsible for delivery of critical systems to the project from SOW (Scope of Work) development to onsite delivery and installation. Support the team in resource management for responsible system/subsystems. Prepare memos, charts, and reports with results of schedule, financial and operational analyses to support key reviews with senior leadership Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field. 8 years project management experience, ideally with a background in development, manufacturing, installation, and operation of large and complex structural and mechanical systems (e.g. launch vehicle GSE, aerospace tooling, oil/gas, movable structures, spacecraft mechanical systems). Proven track record of successfully managing large and complex projects/programs (budget and schedule). Experience with project financial forecasting (monthly and multi-year planning). Experience with project planning software/tools (Primavera P6). Strong communication and presentation skills in a highly technical environment. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point). Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired: 2 years direct experience in aerospace or related industries. Experience with financial planning tools such as Planful. Experience with issue tracking tools such as Jira.
