Blue Origin Florida, LLC is Hiring a Jarvis Technical Project Manager II Near Space Coast, FL

As part of a hardworking team of diverse cross functional development groups, you will take on a variety of logistical coordination efforts and process development for various spaceflight development projects and ground support systems. As a Jarvis Technical Project Manager, you will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and technical leads to optimize materials and processes. You will provide ongoing support to existing projects at multiple project development sites and support coordination activities, execution of all program material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives. You will work closely with other Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance groups to achieve material availability requirements to meet development program schedules. Foundationally, you will be responsible for establishing relations with the programs, assessing program needs, and providing regular schedule projections. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, ability to lead, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required! Responsibilities: Support the change control process, collect, and track performance, and variance analyses. Develop and deliver content for operational reviews with internal leadership. Ensure that programmatic needs and requirements are being met, tracked, and forecasted to provide accountability and consistency. Drive and status activities such as vendor coordination, equipment purchasing, design release and fabrication timelines to hit critical development schedules. Build and maintain tools, analytics, and reporting to highlight performance metrics and other key information. Deliver actionable insights on financial performance and opportunities to reduce costs without impacting performance. Complete cost-benefit justifications on strategic optimization decisions, including make-buy/where analysis, capacity analysis, staffing profiles, capital expenditure analysis, and tracking, and cash flow modeling. Lead planning and execution-centered process improvements to reduce cost, shorten cycle time, improve quality, and enhance safety through risk management. Reduce and close risks and identify opportunities. Partner with business office to ensure timely delivery of product to customer. Manage key program metrics (and associated reporting tools) in areas such as: budget, engineering schedules, equipment schedules, procurement schedules, production schedules, program management status reports, and resource plans in a fast-paced development environment. Qualifications: Must prioritize safety and align to special process hazard mitigation and PPE requirements. B.S. Business, B.S. Engineering, Operations Management, or commensurate amount of industry experience. 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting focused around metal fabrication and welding. Experience leading projects. Experience with business analysis, industrial engineering and/or manufacturing. Excellent written communication and presentation skills. Strong analytic skills and a high degree of proficiency in data mining. Exceptional with Excel and manual data analysis and presentation, as well as other MS Office software (Visio, PowerPoint, etc.) Excellent Interpersonal skills. Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be available to work all required shift hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Must be physically able to: Lift 50 lbs. unassisted. Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position. Desired: MBA or Advanced degree in a technical field. Experience in Manufacturing in a RND environment as well as robust production environments. Project Management Certification (PMP). Six Sigma Black Belt Certification. Lean Manufacturing Certifications. Experience production readiness reviews in a manufacturing environment. Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI). Development-to-production transition experience. Self-starter, strong bias for action. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Experience with Primavera (P6), CREO, Windchill, Confluence, Jira, Tableau, SQL, MySQL, Power Query, Power Pivot. Don’t meet every single requirement?
