Blue Origin Alabama, LLC is Hiring a Technical Project Manager Near Huntsville Engine Manufacturing, AL

As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will act as a Project Manager for the production of Blue Origin rocket engines at our new Huntsville, Alabama facility. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of production and manufacturing, so relevant experience in those areas is highly desired. We are seeking a proactive, service-oriented individual with excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and analytics skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be primarily responsible for managing the project scope of production tooling for both internal and external customers. You will work to increase the speed and efficiency of the program by supporting the timely delivery, quality, and transparency of data to support program business systems, scheduling tools, budget systems, and production planning tools. The permanent location of this position is Huntsville, Alabama. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Project Schedule(s) Perform schedule baseline change control, collect and track performance, conduct critical path and variance analyses Manage hardware status, supporting both internal and external demand Manage budgets and implementation of capital equipment and facility projects Develop and deliver content for operational reviews with internal leadership Collaborate with all departments to access and collect data that informs decision making Build and maintain tools, analytics, and reporting to highlight performance metrics and other key information Deliver actionable insights on financial performance and opportunities to reduce costs without impacting performance Lead planning and execution-centered process improvements to reduce cost, shorten cycle time, improve quality, and enhance safety through risk management Collaborate with purchasing and supplier management to ensure on-time delivery of tooling and production equipment Reduce and close risks and identify opportunities Partner with business office to ensure timely delivery of product to customer Qualifications: B.S. Business, B.S. Engineering, Operations Management Experience leading projects (LII 2 years, LIII 5 years) Experience with business analysis, industrial engineering, methods analysis, or consulting Excellent written communication and presentation skills Strong analytic skill set and a high degree of proficiency in data mining Exceptional with Excel and manual data analysis Excellent Interpersonal Communication Skills Understanding of data structures and architecture Experience working with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
