WHO'S IN THE KITCHENThe Director, Learning & Developmentwill be responsible for developing and managing all of the organization’s key learning and development programs and processes. As a key member of the HR leadership team, this role will play a key role in the development and execution of the Talent Management strategy for Blue Apron. This role will be responsible for identifying appropriate core, cultural and leadership learning & development curriculum for the organization to drive capability, employee development and cultural transformation. This role will also be accountable for all employee development programs and processes including goal setting, performance management, and high potential development programs.The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to re-establish an L&D function and team, building the strategy while also identifying, creating and delivering solutions. Strong team builder who is comfortable working hands on while establishing a new L&D team. WHAT'S ON THE MENUPartner with HR Leadership and business leaders to develop and execute entire learning & development framework and strategy to align with business and culture objectives including leadership development, core skills, and cultural transformationDesign both in-house and with expert third parties, solutions that include a blended approach to learning such as coaching, classroom training, 1:1 sessions, action learning & e-learningDeliver key training sessions within the organizationLead the development and communication of the annual review process including goal setting, performance management and it’s connections to employee development. Own the development and management of competency frameworks and the assessment of skill gaps.Develop high potential development programs that support succession plan for jobs and career plans for our people. Oversees the management of the Learning Management System and all L&D vendorsCreate framework for analyzing, tracking and measuring success of learning and development programsLead the recommendation of vendor services, products and training materialsNECESSARY INGREDIENTS Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of Learning and/or Organizational Development experience with at least 3 in a leadership roleExperience creating learning and development approaches, leadership development, change management and organizational development initiativesDemonstrated experience developing modern and innovative learning solutionsMust be flexible in order to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities; ability to work under tight deadlines and plan, organize and carry out multiple, detailed tasksComfortable moving between strategy and hands-on executionDemonstrated business acumen: intellectually curious about organizational systems and structures, business strategies, and informed about emerging industry trends.Verifiable track record of success partnering with management, serving as a credible and trusted resource.Outstanding interpersonal skills; demonstrated influence and diplomacy at all levels.Technologically astute with experience with LMS systems, project management tools and integration of systems to support the businessAnalytically sound with experience creating a framework for assessing, measuring and tracking L&D programming succes
