The testing of Search, Merchandising, Recommendations & SEO products is handled by the QA team based out of India. 

The QA team is the gatekeeper of quality at Bloomreach and handles both manual and automation testing for releases, feature improvements and product launches which involves collaborating with teams located globally. Various types of testing handled by the team are: validation testing, regression testing, functional testing, integration testing, UI testing, tool testing/development/maintenance, end to end testing, etc. The team is responsible for safeguarding and maintaining the quality of our core products at an exceptional level. 

The Automation team has smartly scaled the quality strategy for more customers across channels (mobile, desktop, etc.) by leveraging analytics data and has helped us outperform on relevance and revenue metrics consistently.

Responsibilities

• Implement the vision, technology roadmap and business goals for your scope of deliverables.
• Lead a small agile team of high-performing test engineers with a diversity of experience backgrounds and locations.
• Develop and drive a high-level automation strategy, as well as take a hands-on approach to implementing that strategy.
• Operate with scale and speed, amidst flux, in a fast-paced environment while contributing to business goals and product strategies.
• Implement metrics to measure quality, track over time, and continually improve. Innovate with commercially available testing frameworks.
• Partner with Engineering Leaders, Managers and Product Management, and enable them by owning the integrity of scalable and high-quality technology solutions.
• Help attract, select and hire best-in-class talent and help retain top performing talent by creating clear career paths and providing technical mentorship.
• Ensure compliance with security practices/guidelines and relevant technology standards.

Requirements

• B.E./B.S. Degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 8 years of industry experience with 2 years of experience in managing direct reports and their careers.
• Proven track record of implementing automated testing strategies via commercially available frameworks.
• Strong working knowledge of HTML, Python, Jenkins, Code Coverage tools, GitHub, REST Assured Framework, Microservices, WebServices and Selenium for Web UI automation.
• Expertise in making testing tools part of CI/CD frameworks.
• Capable of handling ambiguous business requirements with excellent prioritisation, time management abilities and focus on execution.
• Proven experience in recruitment and developing QA teams and people.
