Position Title: VP of Finance

Reports to: CEO

Requires frequent travel (40 – 55%)

JOB SUMMARY:

Vice President of Finance establishes financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems to help maximize the return on financial assets and ensure legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions. The VP of Finance sets the Finance strategy and standards and installs at the plant level. The Vice President is also responsible for monitoring the Finance performance of the plant in adhering to the corporate standards and providing feedback on results to the GM and Chief Operations Officer.

Responsibilities

• Provide organizational financial oversight and direction in line with Fuji Oil Group’s strategy
• Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing financial policies and procedures
• Establish, monitor, and enforce internal financial controls, including compliance with J-SOXPresent financial to the board of directors
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local legal requirements ensuring organizational procedures and reporting are compliant with existing and new legislative requirements
• Consult with external advisors on legislative requirements and to ensure proper reporting’s for organization and benefit plans
• Provide ongoing status of organizational financial condition
• Analyze financial reports, collect, interpret, and report on key financial data
• Manage budget and control expenses effectively
• Advise management of potential financial risks and actions to mitigate
• Provide input and leadership to employees and in companywide initiatives
• Sets goal, monitor work, and evaluate results to ensure that departmental and organizational objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization
• Ensure functional area goals are aligned to strategic initiatives
• Model Fuji Oil Group’s and Blommer’s core values and drive that expectation throughout functional areas of responsibility
• Provide ongoing assessment and feedback to staff regarding performance against goals/expectations
• Stay current on information and technology affecting functional area to increase innovation and ensure compliance
• Expected to participate in forums or committees to bring subject matter expertise and thought leadership in making recommendations to the MCM and ETM on strategy, company standards, procedures, compliance and metrics
• Ensure consistent compliance with customer standards, safety/OSHA and quality standards/HACCP and GMP standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
• 10 years’ experience in managing an accounting function in a medium or large sizecompany; prior auditing and payroll management experience helpful; familiarity with publically traded company reporting requirements, commodity accounting, manufacturing cost accounting, customs and related international regulations, and IFRS is a plus.
• Effective in both verbal and written communications, with strong proficiency in delivering presentations and executive reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP.
