Job Summary:

The Process Technician is responsible for the administration, support, and oversight of the job-certification training for operations, ensuring SOP documentation accurately defines the procedures for equipment and/or processes and clearly supports operator training. Additionally this role is involved in problem solving and CI efforts.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Researches job task procedures utilizing SOP’s and other available documentation to ensure proper procedures are identified for a defined task.
• Modify and write SOP’s, manufacturing work instructions and process flow documentation as necessary to ensure best practices are implemented; ensure input from current operators or other functional experts regarding procedures to gain consistency and utilize best practices.
• Develop job instructional breakdowns (JIBDs) for specific jobs and processes for utilization in training and assessment.
• Maintain SOP documentation for positions.
• Coordinate with Value Stream Managers to identify training priorities and align trainees to a certified trainer; update training information and timeline in the Blommer Performance Management & Learning Portal.
• Evaluate trainee and certify qualifications based on demonstrated performance of process and tasks.
• Audit training program to ensure compliance with training protocol; make modifications as necessary.
• Support problem solving and CI efforts as assigned; working as a CI team member, ensure that improvements are appropriately reflected in SOPs, job task analysis, and training documentation. Where appropriate, schedule retraining of personnel whose work processes have be altered due to CI initiatives.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Experience:

• Associates Degree in a technical discipline
• Strong Computer Skills, including Microsoft Office
• Minimum 3 years’ experience providing technical support in a manufacturing environment
