Overview

Continuous Improvement Manager will drive the overall implementation of Continuous Improvement Methodologies and lead the development and implementation of the Continuous Improvement Strategy with facility leadership team. Drive, mentor and/or support specific CI teams and Department Managers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of Continuous Improvement strategies and initiatives by partnering with and supporting plant leadership and corporate leaders to improve current operational processes. Ensure alignment with the site improvement plans organizational goals and initiatives aligning metrics and project execution timelines.
  • Lead focused efforts aimed at breakthrough and incremental improvements in departmental processes that meet and exceed plant operational performance metrics.
  • Lead, co-lead or facilitate Continuous Improvement teams focused on broad cross-functional projects.Leads the tactical and strategic planning for the continuous improvement work at assigned facility in alignment with the facility leadership team.
  • Develop, maintain, and revise work plans as appropriate.
  • Integrate work with other departmental initiatives and revise projects as needed.
  • Analyze complex and critical assignments applying broad knowledge of internal systems to contribute solutions for CI.
  • Provide support with Continuous Improvement Implementation through Statistical Process Control and Machine Systems Analysis.
  • Responsible for advancing company metrics (safety, quality, productivity, delivery, cost, and morale).
  • Coach and mentor the plant leadership team on the habits and disciplines of a successful continuous improvement culture.
  • Regularly review performance expectations with leadership teams across the organization, providing expectations, performance planning, feedback, training & development.
  • Facilitate the invoicing, planning, resource coordination, implementation, and ongoing communication between Redzone and the Blommer Chocolate NA facilities.
  • Facilitate the alignment of the Redzone productivity and compliance modules among the Blommer Chocolate NA facilities.
  • Establish and facilitate standard reporting of Redzone data companywide.
  • Facilitate Redzone discussions between facilities.
  • Develop a standard companywide Redzone communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, business, engineering, supply chain or other applicable focus of study
  • Proficient in current computer software – Microsoft Office, Minitab, MS projects
  • General office environment with time also in production areas, exposed to heat, cold, noise, dust.
  • May require extended periods of time standing, walking, climbing, sitting.
  • Requires minimal travel. (0 - 5%)
  • Five years’ of strategic and tactical experience to include: demonstrated continuous improvement responsibility, experience in directing and managing large projects, leading team members, and influencing, coaching, driving and managing change.
  • Lean Manufacturing Certified, Six Sigma Green Belt Trained, Black Belt Trained preferred
