blinkLAB architecture is a senior project leader to join our Oakland office part-time or full-time.

We are a small boutique architectural firm, founded in 2015, located in Oakland. The studio specializes in civic projects in West and East Oakland. Our projects include programming, urban design, and architecture; as well as public art fabrication, requiring an intense level of contact and on-going communication with our community resident-clients.

The Project Manager / Project Architect position is flexible; full time or part-time; while working at the studio or remotely. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with 7-plus year’s experience from design to completed construction. You will be involved in all aspects of the projects from project pursuit, conception, design development and detailing, construction drawings, permitting, and construction contract administration, as well as project management documentation.

Qualifications (in order of priority)

• Architectural or Urban Planning degree
• Organized, responsive and dependable to meet deadlines
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Modular / Prefab construction knowledge is a plus
• Planning, Zoning and Building Code knowledge
• Experience with projects from schematic design to construction drawings, project manuals and building permits.
• Have passed more than 75% of required ARE examinations
• Strong Revit and AutoCAD skills

You also have Interests in (two of the below):

• Rhino, Grasshopper3D and digital fabrication knowledge is a plus
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Familiar with CNC machines, laser-cutters and other wood-shop tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $87,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
