Your Role As our new Staff Accountant you’ll be responsible for many of the activities you might expect with this role such as working with balance sheet accounts, posting, journal entries, taxes, reconciliation, closing, and working with external auditors. Here’s really cool part. This role is also a key process evaluator and change driver within the team! You can expect a process improvement focus within the role, which as you know is a great opportunity to display your abilities and future growth potential. Your Skills You should demonstrate at least two years of previous accounting experience, including an understanding of accounting and corporate financial principles and processes. An understanding of GAAP is also important. We’d prefer to see a bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field, but could consider other education credentials for the right candidate. Finally, we’re seeking that special candidate who can demonstrate a great combination of positive, progressive thinking and uncommon common sense in abundance! You should be a natural change agent with strong analytical skills, who has the drive to develop both you and the organization.
