Qualifications

Your Skills: You should demonstrate the following preferred qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Five (5) years relevant experience in a business analyst, project management, or information technology capacity, within a complex systems environment.
  • A proven track record leading successful projects, across all phases. Strong familiarity with project management tools, methodologies, and best practices, including meeting management. Knowledge and experience with process improvement tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, also preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • A working knowledge of hardware/software technologies, used within multiple areas of application. Experience with PC platforms, programming languages, databases, servers, and networks.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with team members from multiple business areas, including consultants and vendors. Excellent presentation skills.
  • Well-developed leadership skills. Organizational proficiency, including attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Proficiency in application of mathematical concepts to practical situations, including spreadsheet development/maintenance and the reading of charts and graphs.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to solve problems creatively. Capacity to apply principals of critical thinking to a wide range of practical problems.
  • Responsibilities

    Your Role: As our new IT Project Manager you’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing Business Studies, including definition of project scope, objectives, requirements, and constraints, along with estimated costs, resource requirements, timelines, and ROI.
  • Leading projects through all phases, including development of functional and system designs, testing, implementation, and follow-up to support. Ensuring production and quality of deliverables at each project stage. Ensuring compliance with current standards and effective system interfaces/integration.
  • Developing and managing project schedules and work plans. Coordinating teams, involving internal and external resources. Providing work direction and feedback to team members, assisting them with resolutions. Overseeing functional responsibilities of vendors/suppliers, per contract commitments.
  • Estimating required resources and assisting in staffing issues related to each project. Working to adjust resources, as necessary to ensure successful completion.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation. Facilitating development of new/updated operational procedures and system processes, as applicable to each project.
  • Monitoring and measuring project performance. Tracking project costs and ROI, as appropriate. Employing risk management techniques.
  • Updating stakeholders on project progress. Preparing and delivering formal presentations to appropriate management staff and other groups.
