The Opportunity
In this role you will have the opportunity to act as a Mechanical Engineer for hydropower projects, the professional will design for new and upgrade projects for energy owners, including:??
- Hydro turbine upgrades??
- Dam and water conveyance projects, including radial gates and large valves??
- Generator cooling systems??
- Raw water systems??
- Fire protection systems??
- Turbine and generator bearings??
- Control air systems??
- Bearing oil systems??
This Senior Mechanical Engineer will support?Hydropower Projects in Chattanooga, TN but can be located anywhere near a B&V office in the US.

Preferred Qualifications
?
- 10 years of mechanical engineering experience in hydropower or related field?
- Previous experience with engineering projects in a utility power plant setting?
- Experience in design and operation support of conventional and pumped storage hydroelectric generation stations?
- Previous experience in a client facing role
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 8 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
