Essential Duties:

1. Assist customers with appropriate information, advice and service.
2. Accurate entry of merchandise, payments and customer details in the Point of Sale (POS) system.
3. Resolve issues involving customer relations and satisfaction.
4. Fit customers properly for rental/demo equipment.
5. Maintain store’s clean, organized appearance.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.
7. Restocking and managing back stock including lifting boxes of gear.

Requirements

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma

Work Experience:

• Required: 6 months retail sales.
• Preferred: 1 year retail sales in an outdoor specialty store. Knowledge of Black Diamond Equipment gear and apparel is a plus.

Skills and general experience:

• Excellent customer relation skills, knowledge of POS systems, typing, merchandising, product knowledge, self-motivated, knowledge of and/or participation in climbing, back-country skiing and mountaineering.
