Certification and experience preferred – Under direction of the Municipal Court and/or Assistant Court Administrator, preforms multi-faceted, specialized administrative functions working independently or under minimum direction involving difficult tasks and complex legal procedures within a fast paced, high profile and people oriented Municipal Court environment. Performs other related duties as required by the Court Administrator. Other responsibilities of the Part time Violations Clerk include but are not limited to:
· * Handles incoming calls, routing them to the appropriate parties or recording messages as needed.
* Scheduling Court Cases.
· * Issues summons/ticket books to police officers, maintains inventory control, and accountability of issues and unused returned books.
· Reviews officer's summons for accuracy, correct forms, and format. Audits for correct statues requiring knowledge of Title 39 Statues
· Accept and process daily payments received by court and violations bureau.
· Engaged in managing the destruction list, which involves organizing and retrieving outdated files from the file room and conducting weekly shredding.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, two (2) years' experience working in an office environment. Must possess an analytical mind with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems. Applicant must successfully pass a comprehensive criminal history and background investigation.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
· Principles of Municipal Court Administration (required)

· Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Time Management Skills: Must have the ability to meet deadlines and address urgent matters.
· Record Keeping and Documentation: Ability to maintain accurate and organized records, including meeting minutes, ordinances, resolutions, and official documents in compliance with legal requirements.
· Ethical Standards: Upholding confidentiality, integrity, and ethical standards in handling sensitive information and dealing with public matters.
· Attention to Detail: Being detail-oriented is crucial for maintaining accuracy in documents, recording minutes, and following specific procedures for legal compliance.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective, professional relationships with people from all sectors including other staff, personnel, and the public.
