Bizowie is seeking a full-time, Pittsburgh-based Business Systems Analyst to reinforce our Developer and Operations teams working on our Bizowie ERP™ platform. The Business Systems Analyst role will dive into our platform’s code and our users’ processes in collaboration with our product manager to optimize system functionality.

Job Position Responsibilities

• Translate logical discoveries into thorough descriptions and concise informational documents to be used in development.
• Investigate unexpected application behaviors.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers and analysts to determine the best path for the product.
• Extract data and craft queries to gain insight into customer observations.

Job Position Criteria 

• Experience reading scripting languages (Perl, PHP, Ruby, or Python).
• Effective understanding of relational databases (MySQL/SQL).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Clear and effective communicator. 

Job Position Extras

• General familiarity with the Linux operating system.
• Experience working with web applications and related tools.
• Exposure to user experience principles.

Job Position Examples

• Starting from a customer report, identify the root cause behind an ambiguous error message and update the identifying message to provide additional clarity.
• Create developer documentation explaining how to update cached data on an object.
• Create a query to determine if addition/removal of an aspect of the application is an advantageous endeavor. 

This is a full time, salaried position with benefits, based out of our office in Downtown Pittsburgh, PA.
