Overview

This position is responsible for assisting with the coordination and operation of the production area on the shift assigned. This role supports the Area Leads of the Production Room to ensure the company is producing the highest quality product in an efficient manner.

Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities may include:

• Effectively perform area of responsibility positions in the Production Room as needed.
• Conduct product inventories and maintain par levels.
• Complete all assigned paperwork daily.
• Ensure product specifications are followed.
• Maintain communication with team leads and area leads every day. Bring up concerns or questions.
• Perform product yield test for Team Lead/Production Manager as needed
• Reconcile inputs and outputs daily to ensure proper lot coding and inventories.
• Monitor finished product for quality.
• Assist and support Team/Area Leads in control of labor costs through productivity.
• Train Food Production Associates.
• Use scales to weigh products and record weights.
• Navigate ERP system and the tools associated with it.
• Communicate with the team during team meetings.
• Assist the Team Lead in scheduling for the team.
• Follow allergen, GMP and other safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure food safety compliance as it relates to the position.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities 

• Possess organizational and computer skills.
• Work independently and attention to detail.
• Perform basic math skills as needed.

Minimum Experience Preferred 

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in the food industry; specifically relating to quality and production of food.
• Pallet Jack experience preferred, but not required.

Physical Activity/Working Conditions:

• Environment is cold (0 degrees to 40 degrees) and wet at all times.
• Requires standing and/or walking for long periods of time (8 hours per day).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds plus on a regular and consistent basis.
