Birch Agency is Hiring a School Social Worker Near Ecorse, MI
Birch Agency is actively recruiting for part-time and full-time School Social Worker for positions for K-12 throughout the state of Michigan and the United States. Our Social Workers will support academic and social needs of all IEP students, develop and write IEPs, attend IEP, RTI and Staff meetings, oversee a caseload of 40-60 students, provide SEL counseling to General Education and IEP students.

We place School Social Workers in school-based positions throughout the country. Birch Agency works with public, private charter schools, and alternative schools to provide services to the special and general education populations. Services Provided by School Social Workers:
- Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives K-12
- Support Social Emotional and Learning support for students
- Work in collaboration with teachers and administrators
- Assist general education and students with 504 Plans, and IEP
- Facilitate intervention programs
- Serve as a member of School Based Intervention Teams/School Improvement Teams
- Oversee individualized assessment and progress monitoring
- Educate parents on intervention strategies
- Connect families with community mental health resources
- Provide group/individual counseling
- Work with students and families to support students’ behavioral and academic success
- Set goals for improvement for students and implement interventions necessary to help students meet those goals
- Maintain professional documentation of services and referrals provided to students and families
- Address students’ emotional, social, and behavioral needs, with an emphasis on the provision of evidenced-based services
- Provides staff development and consultative services on pertinent issues affecting students’ learning, social/emotional and behavioral health
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Social Worker
- State of Michigan School Social Worker License School
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
