Biosero is currently looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join our team in our San Diego, CA location. The HR Specialist performs a wide range of functions associated with human resources operational activities and initiatives such as recruiting, onboarding, benefits and training administration, and payroll support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform full cycle recruiting from sourcing to attracting candidates to screening, interviewing and hiring employees while growing a strong talent pipeline.
• Ensure the integrity of employee data in multiple systems, including the performance of regular audits and documentation of appropriate quality control measures.
• Onboard new employees through orientation, insuring full integration with the Biosero culture.
• Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards or regulations.
• Assist employees with inquiries regarding duties and responsibilities, benefits, leaves of absence, and company policies.
• Work with management to develop, maintain and modify compliant job descriptions, insuring proper document control within the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Address employee relations issues, such as complaints or other employee concerns.
• Maintain and update human resources documents, such as organization charts, directories, or other documents contained in the company HR Sharepoint site.
• Support the payroll and accounting functions as needed to produce accurate and timely paychecks.
• Promote Biosero’s reputation as one of San Diego’s “Best Places to Work.”

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required; equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree. Advanced degree or professional designation preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of Human Resources work experience required.
• Excellent organizational, written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
• Solid recruitment experience, preferably in the life sciences industry.
• Knowledge of a variety of human resources principles and procedures for recruitment, selection, training, employee relations, and compliance including, but not limited to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
• Strong analytical skills required.
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel required.
• Proficiency using Applicant Tracking System (ATS) as well as LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS).
