Biocoat is a global leader in developing, manufacturing, and applying hydrophilic coatings to medical devices. The team needs a Coating Technician who will perform daily tasks required to apply and test hydrophilic coatings on medical devices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare medical devices for production and perform operating procedures
• Load machine with devices, monitor device, unload devices, and verify process for accuracy
• Create finished labels and perform device packaging
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment
• Keep all work areas clean, organized and operating according to company and ISO standards.
• Write coating procedures and/or other work instructions
• Ensure recording of materials and solutions used in processing
• Engage in continuous-improvement objectives and seek opportunities to support personal and company growth
• Provide cross-functional support and perform additional duties as assigned or required
• Perform visual inspections for coated devices

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School diploma required
• Experience in a technical discipline with minimum 1-2 years of lab experience or manufacturing, process development or production environment is preferred
• Critical Skills: mixing materials, reading, understanding product specifications, SOP’s, operating machines, measuring & inspecting and documenting activities
• Ability to conduct performance testing on coated devices
• Ability to prioritize and efficiently complete tasks with consistency and accuracy, often under pressure and/or short deadlines
• Detail oriented, highly organized, capable of competing high quality work
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with co-workers and work independently
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Computer literate - Microsoft Office package, email, internet, spreadsheets
• Ability to operate in a small company environment

Physical Requirements

Physical Demands: Stooping, turning, bending, squatting, kneeling and the ability to lift to forty pounds; able to reach seven feet without assistance, constant/repetitive standing; requires normal, correctable vision and hearing, and the ability to accurately discern color as necessary to perform job functions.
