Billing Specialist is Hiring a Billing Specialist Near Frisco, TX

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center is in search to hire a Billing Specialist for our Business Office.

The Billing Specialist processes claim produced from the patient accounting software, Meditech. The claims are sent to our clearing house, SSI, and the billing specialist position reviews claims for all required claim information and processes all errors identified by the billing software. This role requires the candidate to focus on accuracy and completeness of all commercial, managed Medicare, and government claims. Claims are filed electronically, for the most part, with some claims being submitted via hard copy. This role also processes any rejected claims by the payer or claims returned by the payer. The Billing Specialist creates productivity reports, billing/error trends, clean claim rates and identifies opportunities for improvement. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely filing of all claims, and for tracking and reporting claims on hold in the billing system. Resubmitting corrected claims, and miscellaneous other duties are also part of the role.

The right candidate will have experience in hospital billing for all payer types, is self-driven, pays attention to detail, team oriented, and focused on high levels of productivity and detail. Excellent communication skills are a must, and accountability is a necessary trait. Meditech experience is preferred, and hospital billing experience is, also.
