Big D Construction is Hiring a Human Resources Administrator Near Salt Lake City, UT

Big-D Construction is in need of a Human Resources (HR) Administrator in our Salt Lake City, UT location. This position will help with on-boarding new employees, assist in recruiting efforts, maintain HR systems, assist with compliance, and support the HR team with various administrative duties.
Requirements:

  • At least 2 years related experience in duties below required
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred, but not required
  • Experience in the Construction industry preferred, but not required

Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations: (other duties may be assigned to meet business needs)

  • Provide an exemplary onboarding experience to be in line with the company mission statement and understanding the important role that HR plays in accomplishing that mission.
  • Coordinate with Talent Manager with the onboarding of new employees, including new hire paperwork through ATS and system access requests through IT.
  • Help new employees complete online onboarding paperwork and benefit enrollment processes
  • Processes new hire paperwork, including (but not limited to) conducting background checks (criminal, driving), Drug Test, E-Verify, I-9 Form Certification, Direct Deposit, etc.
  • Insures all new hires get PPE and other Big-D new hire welcome items (Employee manual, shirts, bags, etc.)
  • Maintain inventory related to PPE and other Big-D new hire items
  • Assist HR Director in conducting New Hire Orientation training
  • Assist in the recruiting efforts of Big-D
  • Assist with calling candidates to pre-screen them as well as scheduling interviews
  • Help maintain the ATS information (i.e. scan paper applications, add notes, change dispositions of candidates, etc.)
  • Assists with career fairs, employment, and outreach events as needed
  • Maintain Referral Bonus program
  • Maintain HRIS data
  • Ensure the electronic filing of employee records is kept up to date, including Personnel files (current & termed), I-9 s, W-4 s, etc.
  • Assist in maintaining personnel records to meet compliance requirements
  • Add any changes in HRIS such as address changes, state working codes, emergency contacts, etc.
  • Stays current with deduction recaptures
  • Conduct timely audits to ensure accuracy in company databases
  • Create and maintain various reports for executive review in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Assists in tracking performance reviews
  • Processes requests for unemployment insurance eligibility, Office of Recovery Services, and employment verifications
  • Maintains AAP, VETS, and EEO reporting
  • Help maintain the employee handbook with policy updates, as needed.
